Ann Louise Dunsmore returned to her heavenly home on February 28, 2024, just three months shy of her 70th birthday, surrounded by family and friends who truly loved her. Ann was an Arizona native, who was born on May 23, 1954. She spent her youth in Sierra Vista and graduated from Buena High School in 1972. After high school, Ann went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Arizona, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She moved to Colorado in 1978 where she worked for the IRS and eventually had her own CPA business. She returned home to Arizona in 1994 and lived in Tucson until her passing.
Ann was a truly kind and loving soul who brightened the lives of eveiyone with whom she interacted. Even while dealing with illness and hardship of her own, she never let her light diminish and was always willing to give advice and a helping hand. Ann had the uncanny ability to instantly connect with almost anyone she encountered. Ann loved to talk! About anything! Conversation was one of her favorite activities. She often played the role of advisor and advocate. Ann had a dedication to enriching the lives of those around her, lifting others up to see their own potential, as well as providing personal and professional growth opportunities to those that needed it. Ann found joy and spiritual growth with "The Church Ladies" from Catalina Foothills Church every Thursday when they visited Brookdale.
In her youth, Ann enjoyed playing tennis and traveling. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed Bridge, numerous card games, and Rummikub. Ann loved any game that allowed her to connect with friends (and let her humbly gloat a bit whenever she won, which was often!). Ann enjoyed her search for the perfect taco!
She is survived by her son Matthew Lemke, brother Bob Dunsmore (Linda), nieces Leslie Dunsmore, Laura Dunsmore (Isaac and Dylan Beck), sister Mary Kay Ponder (Steve), nephews William Ponder, Stephen Ponder. Ann was preceded in death by parents Frederick A. and Patricia K. Dunsmore. Ann is loved by too many friends to count. While she is undoubtedly at peace at home with our Heavenly Father, she will be greatly missed.
Ann's life will be celebrated by those who remain on this Earth.
